Yes, I'll post my annual draft lottery picks. Remind me several days before.

It's usually during one of the first two games of the conference finals, on a Tuesday.

Do you mean you’re going to post what you predict will be the order or are you talking about predicting the actual picks? Because I’m only talking about who gets the number one overall pick.

My prediction is the Spurs are going to get the first pick, the Dallas is going to get the second, then Houston and then Detroit.

Yes, the order. I always predict who will win the top 4 draft lottery picks.

Thanks for your early picks!

Back when the draft lottery used to be top 3 picks, I might have gotten 2 of the correct teams, but one of them was probably in the wrong slot.

Try not to post the draft lottery representative next time. I try to guess that too in my predictions game.

Or put it in spoiler tags.

3 points for a team in their correct slot, 1 point for a team in the top 4.

Portland
San Antonio
Utah
Charlotte

Utah draft representative: Walker Kessler would have been my pick.

BTW this is the TV representative, not the one that's in the actual ball drawing room.

An old gag was that I'd always have a margarita during the draft lottery, and take a sip during some of the important team announcements. Like during the spots when a team might have moved up. Or when a surprise team did move up, and the top 3-4 were then revealed.

I should have had a blueberry margarita for this year, since blue is the Jazz color.

Ok I guess blue isn't an official color anymore, but it used to be.

If I had a banana I could have done a yellow colored one.

I do have a Black sambuca, that's the closest thing I have to a Jazz color. But black isn't very unique to the Jazz.

Ok, I'll do pineapple, since that's also yellow and a Jazz color, and I have pineapples.

So right before the #9 pick is announced, hopefully I take a sip and don't hear the Jazz. Actually the Jazz could move down, if Orlando, Oklahoma City, etc. move up. So if I hear the Jazz before #9, then it means someone moved up.

The Jazz didn't move down.

That's a win.

I hate that I was right about the first one. Popovich gets bailed out again.

@nuraman00: 3 points

@MHSL82: 4 points

I knew, and believed that San Antonio was going to win the draft lottery. I didn’t know about the other three, I was just pessimistically rewarding the teams that I thought should not get it.

But he was in three draft lotteries in a row before this one. Why didn't he get bailed out then?

Do you think San Antonio "deserved" it? Why not or why?

David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Victor Weybanyama. I only consider the number one overall pick to be winning the lottery. disclaimer is that I don’t actually know when Popovich started coaching, but that’s beside the point. San Antonio seems to get these players. Yes, they don’t get Jordan, LeBron, etc., but whenever there is a center, they get them. And yes, I know people call Tim Duncan a forward. I don’t consider Anthony Davis, etc. to be Tim Duncan or hyped as much as Victor.

Popovich is a great coach, I know, but I’d like to see him coach without one of those three and without being a consensus rebuild year. I want to see how he is with average players years into a rebuild. But now we’ll never know.

I think that they were better than the record, and only tried when they wanted to. Yes, I do believe Popovich tried hard to coach, but he was coaching players on development, not trying to win the game, per se. so I believe their players will be well developed, and I suppose it’s the right way, but I don’t want to Tony I don’t want it but then again, I don’t want Dallas to win either or really any of the other teams besides the Jazz. and I know the Jazz aren’t perfect. I’m just not going to “want” objectively when I’m a Jazz fan.
