Says the dipshit that has this comment under his avatar. Websters definition of a true POS: see Urban Meyer

So I'm sure your opinion of him & Ohio State are completely unbiased right?

Of course they aren’t unbiased, you would have to be a moron to think they are...

He's just butthurt his Georgia team couldn't score any points in the 4th quarter and made a true freshman QB look good.

Well shit I better mention that 31-0 ass kicking the Tigers put on the Buckeyes before he does. But on the plus side @ least Ohio State doesn't play an FCS team.

That loss doesn't bother me for 1 reason. The Buckeyes had no business in the Playoff that year (I wanted them left out). And the score proved it.

I’m supposed to be butthurt about letting a true freshman QB look good?

You do know it was a true freshman QB that got us into the NC game to begin with, right?

Georgia came up short in a game no one at the beginning of the season even thought we would be in, so while I’m not happy we lost, I am happy of what I saw

Now both of you little rugrats, go be a good little buckeye and choke your wives, Urban will stand behind you

I agree....Good news is it exposed a weakness in the coaching staff.

Life must be rough worrying about 90 4 and 5 star recruits, especially when 10 of them transfer and you replace them with 4 and 5 star recruits. I'd be nervous as hell too.

It was Tua's first time playing, Fromm had started 15 games. You have to be concerned that the offense couldn't score more than 7 point's the entire second half.

Welp, as concerned as I might be for Bama, can't possibly be worse than UNA's upcoming humiliation at North Dakota State.

This'll be a tough few years to be a Lion.

OP, you like Bama and LSU? :puzzled:

I've always been a Bama fan; but I grew fond of LSU under Les Miles since they were the only SEC West team to challenge us on a consistent basis, and they were fun to watch.

Not sure. LSU May have a fully functioning human for a HC. I wouldn't bet the farm on it. I would think Ark’s transition to a spread offense will be closer to fruition at that pt. The offense might be slightly improved, but the defense won't be able to stop anyone (except, maybe, Ole Miss). Ole Miss, you got me there. Might be slightly improved. MISStake, probably have me there also. I agree with that assessment. A&M probably better. The Aggies may actually have something that looks like a defense by then.

I'm saying Alabama could possibly lose two regular season games this year.
You have the easiest schedule that you've had in a decade so :stfu:

But, on the bright side, they are joining the one conference that they should be competitive in by year three.

It's going to be a different kind of year for the University of Alabama. I usually start the pre-season off full of confidence that the Crimson Tide will roll through another season undefeated or with a single loss and then sweep into and through the playoffs once again. This year, I'm not so sure. It's been a different kind of off-season for the Tide.

Nick Saban is used to losing an offensive or defensive coordinator, as well as an assistant or two on a regular basis, but this year he lost all three coordinators, and his main play caller on defense is a little greener than those he has had in the recent pass.

Losing a few players via transfer or injury has been a fairly regular occurance, too. But many of those transfers probably never would have played significant time for the Tide. And multiple injuries on defense was a contributing factor to Alabama's late season swoon in 2017 that saw them struggle against Mississippi St. and lose to Auburn. A lot of the players from the offensive and defensive lines that transferred out over the summer might have been in the regular rotation and added to the Tide's depth at those positions. And the injuries have diminished the depth on the defensive side even further.

This may be the first time since 2010 that Alabama loses as many as two games in the regular season. It happened that year because Alabama was worn out from facing six straight opponents coming off of bye weeks!

Another thing that worries me is the quarterback situation. I know that Jalen Hurts is 26-2 as a starter, but Tua Tagovailoa was the one that pulled that last game out of the fire. Tua hasn't started a game, yet, so we haven't seen him play that much. We don't know how many of those 16-yard sacks might come out of him. But we do know he can go through the progression of finding open receivers and zinging the ball to them better than Jalen. This QB situation could work to our advantage, though, since teams will have to prepare for each quarterback differently. And if both of them do well & get lots of playing time, that's really going to screw up opponent's defensive plans.

The other concern is a secondary with lots of new faces & very little solid experience. But there are some guys back there that could turn into ball sharks.

I don't have much concern about the opener against Louisville. The Cardinals may score anywhere from 20 to 24 points on the Tide, but I believe puts anywhere from 38 to 45 points on the Louies.

To have concerns is OK...but the really tough games for Bama come at the end of the season.

For an opponent to take advantage of Bama's "weaknesses' They have to beat them early and there just isn't anybody on the schedule that can get Bama early. After the 6th game all those new kids will be Vets and playing to capabilities.

The Tide looked good against Louisville, but there are still areas of concern:

!. There were way too many easy completions given up over the middle;

2. The blocking wasn't great, but Tua's maneuverability & quick trigger were able to overcome the flooded backfield;

3. The running game took a while to develop;

4. There were way too many glaring penalties - especially in the second half.

The good news is that most of the teams that are most likely to present a challenge - LSU, Mississippi St. & Auburn - won't show up on the schedule until the last month of the season.

Ole Miss could present problems on the road in a couple of weeks - but only on one side of the ball. Scoring against them should not be an issue. And we really don't know what to expect out of Texas A&M, but at least we get them at home.
