Here we go. Biggest series since 2003. Let's forget the Houston series because it doesnt matter anymore. 17 game stretch run starts now.

Friday: Hammel vs. Paxton

Saturday: Gray vs. Felix

Sunday: Lester vs. Young

I think we'll do better against Oakland. The Astro's pitching is one of the most underrated in all of baseball imo. We just got bad luck. I think our offense will pick up, especially with Paxton and the King on the mound.

Love that we scored early to make Oakland get in catchup mode. This team is so much better with an early score to set the tone and take a little pressure off.

Paxton didn't look like he was all that sharp but he has ridiculous stuff. Probably the #2 next year.

I don't blame the Rodney at all for that 9th. The A's hitters did a great job of hitting those two pitches early in at bats and going the other way, which is just smart hitting late in a game. It wasn't like he walked the two on. He made them earn it and it all worked out.

Sadly I have to work again for the Night Court tomorrow but I'll have it on the DVR.

Does anybody think we'll see Walker at any point on Sunday? I think that if Young struggles early, McClendon won't hesitate to yank him and put Walker in. Obviously I hope that Young pitches well and that scenario never comes up, but it's something to think about given the importance of this series.

I'm more worried about scoring 4+ runs tomorrow for Felix than I am about whether Walker appears in Sunday's game.

Though off the top of my head I'm gonna go with Young having a great game at Safeco. Lots of easy popups and a win much like tonight's. 5-3 on Sunday if I had to guess.

On a related note: I've already seen listings for the "Night Court" shirts on ebay and they haven't even been given out yet. Not sure what to make of that.

Gotta laugh at how people think Felix would do well in the playoffs, he wouldn't because he would be lucky to get 1 or 2 runs scored for him. He should have walked off the mound and ***** slapped everyone but Jones and Cano for letting him down as usual.

This guy could probably win 30 games a year with a halfway decent hitting team.
