Been off the grid for the last 10 days or so, so I haven't seen a ton of action. Obviously the starting pitching is a huge concern right now. Things will get better but I also question how high the ceiling with this group actually is. Especially if Walker continues to turn into a mental midget when things get tough. Him and Felix are the only ones capable of being top of the rotation guys. The rest are just 3's or 4's which means they will be up and down.

I was just thinking about this for some reason, but what is Dave Duncan doing these days? He has turned around the careers of more pitchers than anyone I can recall and I would hire him as the special assistant to work with Paxton and Walker and see what he can do. If he can't fix them, then trade them.

And just a heads up, Blue Jays pitcher is 6 outs away from a no-hitter vs Boston on MLBTV. I have been watching that on TV and some M's on the computer.

Injury update: Ketel Marte will rejoin M's on Monday. Servais thinks Leonys Martin will be back Fri. Felix "may miss a couple" more starts.

And he just missed the 2nd pitch in that AB that was right down the middle and he knew it. Don't get two chances in an AB very often...he did and he didn't miss it.

I heard this stat this week on TV.

In their last 190 AB's each;

Trout 11 home runs
Harper 11 home runs
Bumgarner 11 home runs.

The home run derby comment reminded me of this stat.

This has looked like the Kuma from 2-3 years ago so far. Hitting low 90's on the fast ball and the offspeed stuff has a nice bite to it. Hope he can keep it together for 7 innings

Excellent minus the Felix news. If he misses much more time tho I think its more then just the strained quad or whatever.
