ranger fans big hold up seems to be this kid krieger. who im sure is a legit prospect but right now thats all he is. say he breaks into the nhl 2 years from now who knows where the rangers will be then. who knows if he will pan out? team is sitting in first right now...and all the other team is asking for is a defenseman that they all wanted traded last year and dubinsky. the 1st rounder is just a shot in the dark

It all depends on what the Rangers are giving up/what their gameplan is. If it is a total win now mentality, then it's a good move for them. However I imagine they will have to give up a decent amount to get him and they will have to work some magic with the cap if they hope to have a real shot in the coming years. I really doubt this happens though.

the rangers have to be in a win now mode. somehow with their smoke and mirrors they have the top spot in the east. the caps are a mess and no sid this year...two normal teams at the top of the east that might nto be the case next year. after watching last nights ranger game and sundays game. its official they are the most boring team in the nhl. i really think sather brings in nash. it makes sense for them they need scoring and have tons of depth to give up.

Yeah, considering that's been our mantra as a franchise... stellar goaltending, very solid defense and the occasionally timely scoring...

Although we have won with terrific offenses before....

They might not be the sexiest names out there but 2 Dmen I would love the Devs to go after are Chris Campoli and Anton Babchuk..they probably wouldnt cost much if anything. Babchuk isnt even active for Calgary nowadays.

I heard Brown might be on the move too..seems weird that the Kings would move their captain just a few days after moving arguably their captain on D.

Yeah I was shocked that his name is in the rumors esp the devils. I always liked him too. Camopli is a puck moving d I think the record said they want a stay at home.

I heard Everson report on Campoli that the Devs are interested.

I dont take too much stock in that though.

I think tonight is the last game Larsson will be out, but I agree if we make a move it should be for a stay at home guy. A couple of games ago with Larsson and Tallinder out, Volchenkov took a penalty and it was Foster and Fayne as a PK pairing and all I could think was I want no part of that in a crucial spot in the playoffs.
