I saw Carlos Lee and you got Buehrle here...but...no Magglio Ordonez? Dude was a baller and fits this list.

There was a time when Albert Belle was the most feared player in all of baseball. He was terrifying. He just wasn’t able to sustain it long enough.
his hip went bad really quick....at his height though he was a monster.

he almost killed Fernando Vina too.

Baines was my guy when I was a tween (13 yrs old in the magical 1983 season) but he doesn't seem like he belongs. He's on the border like Schilling and Kent (who I think should be in)

Schilling has more than double Baines' WAR.

Just thought of Will “The Thrill” Clark. His peaks were really high. Sweetest lefty swing outside of Ken Griffey, Jr., too.

Tino Martinez and John Olerud off the top of my head.

A "what if" player: Kaz Sasaki. Came over later in their careers but had a couple really good years, ran out of time I think.

Mo Vaughn and Cecil Fielder could get recognition too.

Schilling should be in if this were only about stats. He clearly has a better resume than a guy like Mussina who cruised right in. But he said some bad things about sportswriters and they are petty and wouldn’t vote for him after that. <shrugs>

As we know with Bonds and Clemens, it's not just about stats

Much different with Schilling. Nobody accused him of cheating(which Bonds and Clemens obviously did). His crime was saying mean things about sportswriters.

Oscar Gamble was very good but he was a platoon player and platoon guys don't get as much recognition. They don't say it be like that, but it do.

Pete Rose

Too soon?

But seriously it's funny no one has mentioned Bonds and Clemens. They aren't in the Hall of Fame like these others. Shouldnt they be in the Hall of Very Good then too?

they're in the hall of its fucking retarded they aren't hall of famers.

I'd put Rose, Bonds, and clemens in all with a asterisks as well as Palmiero. 3000 hits 500 hrs. No one can tell me Jeff Bagwell was super clean and Rafi is a dope head
