Before segregation?
Leadoff hitter #1 priority is to get on baseball. Rose had 4256 hits. Your #2 and 3 hitters combined for 4417. Overrated?I do think pete rose is over-rated, but it is not because of the betting... I think his ideal spot in the lineup is at #2... also, you are forgetting that we are comparing these players IN THIS DRAFT... everyone is a stud... Rose is just not that good compared to the other BEST players...
More I think. IMO, ***** league stats should carry the full weight of MLB stats from that eraHere's an interesting topic: I think guys who played before segregation had a much bigger advantage than anybody on steroids. Thoughts?

Show me anywhere where I've said anything like him being the best ever. Oh and I think Peter Rose is the all time bestest hitter! The Emmitt Smith argument, just because he had the most hits doesn't mean he's the best hitter.
NegativeRitz, UK, 500 do you want to make any changes to your lineup/rotation before I post semi-final games???
so hits are the only things that count now... you first say leadoff hitters first priority is to get on base... But you ignore that my 1-2 both have a career OBP of higher than .400...
I might. I'd also like to let Smittty add his rankings to the equation and have Ritz vote so we can be sure the right guy wonRitz, UK, 500 do you want to make any changes to your lineup/rotation before I post semi-final games???
