Series Notes: The HEAT and Pelicans meet for the second and final match-up this regular season. Earlier this season, the HEAT recorded a, 107- 88, victory in Miami and with a win, the HEAT would sweep the season-series for the third consecutive season. Last season, the HEAT swept the season-series, 2-0, and has currently won six-straight against New Orleans. The HEAT is 37-38 all-time versus the Pelicans franchise in the regular season, including 13-24 in games played on the road and 24-14 in games played in Miami.

Have the Heat maximized their roster? When you let the two divas sit out games when they shouldn’t - the answer is no… When you start the scrub Shane Battier when you have better options the answer is no… when you play the scrub for as many minutes as you do when he doesnt produce anything positive for the team with better options available - the answer is no. This is the biggest problem with Spo, he doesnt use the roster to the best of his ability because he over-values the biggest scrub on the team. That needs to change.

The only scrub associated with the Heat is Paula. Does not appreciate what Shane brings including the little things which are charges, playing defense on much bigger guys and being selfless. The man is a winner while you are sitting behind a type writer calling an NCAA champion and two time NBA champion a scrub. No need to argue and pull numbers about what Shane did in the finals as you just don't listen. However, the Heat's Big 3 have only won championships while they had Shane Battier...now you go scrub yourself.....

Does not appreciate what Shane brings including the little things which are charges, playing defense on much bigger guys and being selfless.

He does no little things, at least not positive ones… The only guys on this team doing the little things are UD, Oden, Cole and the rest of the supporting cast not including the scrub - who only does things to hurt the team.

At Duke, much like in the NBA, his success is no thanks to him and only has to do with the guys around him carrying him to success.

However, the Heat's Big 3 have only won championships while they had Shane Battier.

He has had no impact on the Heat winning any championship nor will he this year or in the future.

NCAA tournament has meaning for Miami Heat, Pat Riley in advance of NBA Draft - Sun Sentinel

Nice article by Ira and how the Heat need to make the draft more important no matter where they are picking. They have passed on a lot of good players the last couple of seasons - yes, they have found some good ones in the second round or undrafted guys, but passed on far too many god ones… hopefully that changes this year where it should be a deep enough draft where they can find a quality player even late when they are to pick

Game 7 NBA finals... No bigger stage. Guess who shows up with 18 points? Shane-O-Mac!!! He also had the highest +/- on the team that night at +12. Shane was the ONLY reason we won game 7. I heard he won finals MVP but refused to accept the trophy because it wasnt a team award so they gave it to Lebron who finished second in the voting.
