Miami Heat Game Thread for Games January 27- February 6

Deng has been riddled by this all season and played through it. With the emergence of Whiteside, we would be okay if Andersen missed games - but Deng is hard to replace - next to UD and Whiteside he is by far the one to play hardest throughout an entire game - And I think that is why he is in and out of the lineup - he brings it every night and goes the extra mile when he knows he has to.

Even when healthy , the Heat should’ve kept him in a bench role and never taken Shawne Williams out of the starting lineup/rotation. This way they can better manage Deng’s injuries and not taken Williams out of the lineup for virtually no other reason.

They should consider the approach. Bring back Williams as a starter, play Deng his regular minutes still is possible in that case. This way we can benefit all that Deng brings and we can allow Williams to bring the 3pt shooting.

We may not be a deep team, but we could make better use of some guys left on the bench.

Not saying that at all. Just saying some guys that often get DNP’s like Williams, Ennis, Cole, Napier - until recently - could all be used on a nightly basis in some form or another.

Many times Diva Wade has been killing us and we have stuck with him only to lose when we have all these good options on the bench. The longest leash is put on the wrong guy.

What good options are on the bench exactly? Our bench is so freaking bad. Most of our solid options are at PF/C

Cole, Ennis, & Granger are all terrible players.

Napier is our only ok option on the bench at the PG,SG, or SF position.

Got it. Spoles is using his players right. But he needs to use his players differently.

Flat out the bench sucks on this team. Nothing behind Wade. McRoberts done for season. Granger and Ennis have both not been worth the trouble. Cole seems lost. Our bench is bad.

Not sure what the Hornets are offering. But anything would honestly help this bench.

I just looked a Hornets depth chart. They got nothing of interest they would reasonably offer for Cole.

Cole, Ennis, & Granger are all terrible players.

A pretty difficult thing to really say when they don’t exactly get to play as much as they should. Cole is probably the only guy that is justified in getting so few minutes - but not the other two - they may not have contributed much but that is because they just havent been many chances.

And , again, I must point out your ignorance and stupidity. I can remember many times reading post where you cried your eyes out to see Cole and Ennis play more, now you call them terrible players - so which is it?

Ennis yeah but once he got a lot of minutes I saw why he was a bench warmer

Spoelstra says Deng and Birdman are out tonight.
Spoelstra says it’s Birdman's elbow and back.
Spoelstra says Granger likely to start at small forward, with Whiteside to start at center.

Deng will be miss - as will Birdman in certain situations but Granger and Whiteside are more than capable.

Going to be a challenge without Deng.

Hopefully he does play. He always plays hard and with energy for the entire time he is on the court - something that Diva stopped doing long ago - but when you dont have it anymore, it happens
