I know w/ ESPN a player just has to be "Out" so as to be placed on IR.
Not sure about Fantrax's rules?

does anyone realize that we are rostering 320 players?? i don't really care about IR... I think i prefer the least possible just so there are SOME players available...


But on the other hand, if we are doing IR, then i prefer infinity... I just don't think it affects keeper value at all... so i really don't care...

Milk, you bring up a sobering fact about the 320.
May seem rather insignificant to dredge up player 321 or 322 for your bench.

But what if one of the players on IR is your QB or Kicker?

If Cutler is hurt, and I don't know for how long, I'd like to be able to throw Cutler on IR and pick up Brian Hoyer in the mean time. Even if I don't play Hoyer because I plan to use my QB2. It's still good management. And insurance.

See, that doesn't even phase me. Doesn't matter how many spots we have, I'll always wish for one more. i.e. wanting to stash Zach Mettenberger.

i don't mind doing IR.. But if we do it, i don't understand why there would be any limit... the IR is not going to affect keeper value, so who cares if you have 1,2,or 100 IR spots...

If the player is placed on IR in real life, you can put him on IR. That is the way I have always seen it done.

I just checked Fantrax. Any player they mark as injured is eligible for the IR. I believe that is any player on the IR in real life.

I just checked Fantrax. Any player they mark as injured is eligible for the IR. I believe that is any player on the IR in real life.

In one of my Fantrax leagues last year any injured player even those listed as probable could be placed on IR
