You know it’s bad when a right handed pitcher intentionally pitches around two right handed batters and goes right after Seagar

  • Padres outfielder Travis Jankowski has drawn trade interest, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reported before the Mariners-Rays swap. It seems the Mariners tried for Jankowski prior to landing Span, but according to Divish, the Padres didn’t show much interest in the M’s low-ranked farm system. Known mostly for his speed and defense, the 26-year-old Jankowski has gotten off to a .313/.382/.400 start at the plate in 89 attempts this season. He’s controllable through the 2021 season.

Watching the Rangers vs Royals right now and I tell you I wouldn't mind at all having the M's trade for Colon. One, he kills us most of the time. Two, he just competes and gives you innings. Three, and most importantly, he was a hard throwing guy who learned to pitch late in his career and I think he would be a guy that might be able to get through Felix's think skull and teach him how to pitch when your main stuff is gone.
I still think Felix could be solid but he needs to learn what he has now and how to use it. the skills are there just not executing in best way.

His off speed pitches just are too close in velocity to his fastball, that's his biggest issue IMO. Back when he threw 97 it was ok, but now that his fastball is in the low 90's a 4-5 mph difference just doesn't cut it. If he could find a way to shave 5-7 mph off his change up, he could still be a decent pitcher.

Seattle won for the seventh time in eight games and played their sixth straight one-run game, going 5-1 in those. They continue to find ways to win and are now 11 games above .500

Won't happen, but Felix to the pen and Miranda back in the rotation.

Last year, they were losing quite a few of those one run games... Big difference this year...

That is part of it for sure. I think the bigger issue is control/command he isn't putting the pitches on a dime very often. He misses spots by a fuck ton too often. I don't know if he will ever be able to figure it out again but sure sucks right now. He can't be hanging out in t he 5.50 ERA area its too shitty.

The King's reign has been over the last couple years-but ironically, the King's Court continues on but is slowly shrinking. The Maple/Eagle group grows with each outing the Pax man has, and rightfully so. Paxton is totally awesome on the hill these days. Actually, I'm kind of impressed with how our starting pitchers have been performing and really surprised.
