The Patriots have traded All Pro Left Guard Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for TE Tim Wright and an undisclosed draft pick.


Wright is 23, 6'4" 220 lbs. He had 56 receptions last year.

The rest of the cuts have to be made by 4:00 PM EST today.

Dunno about Wright, but 56 receptions is 56 receptions and WAAAAYYY better than anything we got from anyone not named Gronkowski. Wright is now the best TE2 we have had since...that fucking idiotic asshole.

I also think this was a salary move...and that the coaching staff must love Josh Kline.

I loved Mankins and we will miss him mauling guys down field...and dishing out those little cheap shots at end of plays.

I just gotta know what draft pick we got! Hopefully it's a conditional 4th that could be upgraded to a 3rd. Anything better than that is gravy, IMO.

WELL ITS QUIET A SHOCKER AND ITS NOT.. MANKINS ON THE HOLE IS A GREAT PICK UP FOR THE BUCS , BUT HIS SALARY NUMBERS WERE NOT THAT FRIENDLY.. .. No doubt. My favorite foul of Mankins was when he left his stance in a game to punch the opposing player in the nuts! F the 15 yards. You need people like that.

That was ages ago. No way that has anything to do with it. I don't begrudge guys for holding out (minus Revis). This isn't basketball or shitty baseball, where contracts are ridiculously fully guaranteed.

I would say that the left side of the Patriots offrensive line needs a make over.

Brady was sacked 40 times last year, some of it due to bad receivers but some was bad O-Line play.
