This is a text message I got from my little brother last night. He is playing Junior A up in Portland.

"So I played (friend on another team) on Friday in Medford, we've been on the same team since I started ice, and watched him get tuned up by one of our new guys. Broke his jaw, he left the arena in a wheelchair."

I told him it was a good thing that the new guy was on his team.

lol... Has there ever been a fight break out from two players on the same team in the NHL? I highly doubt it, but this came to mind like a week ago...

It's a different game then the youth travel hockey he was used to. Durring his tryouts last year he got in a fight. Felt pretty good about it, even saw some of the guys blood on his jersey. Everyone kept asking him if he was ok afterward and he told them 'check on the other guy'. He told me he got really wierd looks and that's when he realized it was his blood.

I got a nice cut open on my chin in a fight one time. Was bleeding like a bastard but I didn't even know it until they started sending me off the ice and not the box.
