But Alabama's outfield:

LF- Billy Williams
CF- Willie Mays
RF- Hank Aaron

CA might have a better overall team, but nobody's beating that outfield.

Yeah, when 2/3 are Mays and Aaron it'd be pretty hard to beat. Sweet Billy 'aint nothing to sneeze at neither.

TBH, I thought Aaron was a Georgia-kid though

You have Paul Goldschmidt.
Yeah, but he moved to Texas when he was like 3. By the way, headed down to Augusta this Christmas for my other cousin's wedding. What will the temperature be like? Never been down south in the winter.

I wish, that would make my team a whole lot stronger, but he was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama.

You never can tell. It was 23 degrees at my house this morning, which is the coldest I remember it ever being in mid March, but overall the winter was pretty mild. Most winter days in north GA are high temps around 50, but you have your cold snaps too. In Augusta, it'll probably be in the 60's unless a cold snap is passing through.

I'm in a hotel in Augusta right now for work.

Oh shit, cool. I just hope it's warm because they are loaded and have a huge lake-house right over the line in South Carolina. Always awesome swimming in it, then going inside while they're sitting on the dock/on the boat and stealing their liquor and playing pool. Plus, I swear it's crazy, but the Phillies always seem to be playing the Bravo's every time I'm down there

You're not staying in one close to a place called "Wild Wing Cafe" are you? That's where we stay every time. Wild Wing is on Washington Road, near the highway.

It'll probably get cold enough at night to make swimming a no go in a lake.

Nah, I'm on the west part of town, pretty much in Martinez. The quarry I'm working at is about 15 miles west of Augusta.

Indiana has Gil Hodges and Billy McCool. Also 3-Finger Mordecai Brown and Darrell Chaney. I think we might need to make a trade or two. Scott Rolen can play 3B or DH.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Lineup

C: Carlton Fisk (HOFER!)
1B: Steve Balboni (Finished top 20 in MVP twice)
2B: Bernie Friberg (Finished top 20 in MVP once)
SS: Red Rolfe (4-time All Star, 5-time champion who I had to move to shortstop to make room)
3B: Arlie Latham (led the AA in stolen bases in 1888)
CF: Sam Fuld (led the AL in double plays by a left fielder in 2015)
RF: Joe Lefebvre (finished top 10 in triples once)
LF: Phil Plantier (finished 8th in rookie of the year playing for his hometown Red Sox)

Bench
C: Eddie Ainsmith (hit 13 HRs as a catcher in 1922. 4th highest All-Time in the NL at that point for a catcher)
1B: Birdie Tebbetts (4-time All-Star, is actually a catcher but I'm converting him to 1st base)
2B: Tim Shinnick (top 5 in RBI and stolen bases in the AA in 1890)
OF: Kevin Romine (had a run scored in a playoff game)
UTIL: Art Nichols (had games at 1st, catcher, and outfield. Also was top 5 in HBP in 1901)

Rotation
SP: Mike Flanagan (Cy Young Award Winner)
SP: Chris Carpenter (Cy Young Award Winner, 3-time All-Star)
SP: Bob Tewksbury (All Star, finished top 3 in Cy Young once)
SP: Jeff Locke (All Star, about to enter his prime, scared the crap out of me when I faced him in HS)
SP: Lefty Tyler (led the league in complete games once, threw 10 innings in Game 3 of the 1914 WS)

Bullpen
RP: Brian Wilson (3-time All Star)
RP: Jeff Fulchino (his baseball-reference page indicates that he was somewhat useful in 2009)
RP: Chad Paronto (2006-2007 he didn’t seem to be horrible)
RP: Bob Smith (wasn’t horrible in 1957)
RP: Leon Chagnon (finished 7th in games finished in 1933)
LR: Stan Williams (All Star, World Champ in 1959)
CL: Roberto Hernandez (2-time All Star, finished top 10 in Cy Young twice, not the guy who used to be Fausto Carmona)

Manager: Frank Selee (HOF manager who led the Boston Beaneaters to 5 pennants and was the first manager of the Chicago Cubs)

Better than I would have expected for NH, and let these losers from Delaware and Wisconsin feel a bit of shame for not even making an attempt.

It's not like Georgia's team is near the top.
