Madden 13

How good is Madden? I have not bought a Madden game since I think Madden 2007. I stopped because like NBA series, to me, Madden got repetitive and boring after a few games and it didn't seem like the franchise ever changed, it was just plopping out the new game each year for sales and the only change was the # of year on the title.

But for some odd reason I am really enjoying the NFL this season and the NCAA 13 game is kinda getting boring as I am now a dynasty with Washington State and currently on like a 40 game winning streak. (I would say that is owning the game)

And kinda want the challenge of a new sports game. Wondering if Madden is worth the money to buy?

my biggest issue with Madden is dynasty mode. The issue here is, I hate the fact that after about 4 seasons in a dynasty with a team you start to lose their current stars and what becomes a very realistic game, (with player photos, players skills) becomes fake quickly with computer generated players. So eventually your roster is half realistic players and the other half is computer players, and depending on how long you play your dynasty, eventually becoming all computer generated players and then you don't know anyone in the game.

That is why I love NCAA, because everyone just starts out at computer generated players.

This is another game I am thinking of getting. Madden or NHL. I haven't gotten a hockey game in about a decade so this would be entirely new to me and hopefully hold me over until NCAA '14 came out.

I'm liking it ockey games have come a long way haven't played madden much yet I do prefer NCAA

NCAA is great. But I am just tired of winning all the time. I've taken a 1 star Wazzu program and in 6 years have them at a 6 star program, 2 straight NC's and currently 36 game winning streak. I am something like 68-6 overall record.

Figure there really isn't much more of a challenge left on that game.

Gamespot gave Madden a 7.5 for 360...that isn't very good.

I like Madden. This is the first one that I have bought in about 10 years. The Connected Careers Mode is great (franchise) and the scouting is year round. The draft is great too.

How many years have you don franchise mode? Does it get repetitive?

Thinking of picking up Madden tonight, reading reviews it sounds like a good game and with it's new connected career mode can keep you entertained for awhile.

I am just a huge NCAA fan and the NFL can seem dull at times to me. And since I use to get Madden yearly from like '00-'07 the games just all seemed the same. But reading the reviews it makes it sound like this Madden might be the best one that has been made to date.

But any die hard college gamers here prefer this madden over NCAA? Is it at least a challenge over time?
