Hey guys, anyone pick up any entertaining rumours on the Bolts lately? I still hold reservations about our D. I haven't found anything myself but a few of you seem brilliant at finding the latest scoop! Remember back several years ago when the Rays would spend a lot of $ on sluggers but really what good were they without decent pitching? Well I am sorry to say this, however, the Bolts are reminding of those days for the Rays.

heard they have interest in cody franson but I doubt we make the trade to get him I don't see yzerman moving good prospects. Plus to get him signed they would need to trade or buy out ryan malone.

It took the Rays time but they did build up good the lightning are doing it the same way grow home grown talent. The lightning will get there sooner or later it takes time to build from the ground up which is what yzerman is doing.

I got tickets for the Nashville game Sept 19 (preseason ) I wwould rather have had Orlando tickets because its closer but they were unavailable. I'd rather see the Predators over the Blues though. Its a chance to see Bishop vs. Rinne but perhaps neither will play. Surprisingly they were only 11 dollars each for section 304. Not bad.

Thanks I shall return. Yes the ticket price was good, for the return of Vinny in Nov. the price jumps to about forty dollars for the same seats. That should be a great game though.

As a Penguin fan, all I really got right now are the Pirates.

Noticed the Rays are doing well for all the Tampa Bay area sports fans.

NHL 14 demo drops in 5 days.

I'll be happy if the Pirates just make it to the post season. Anything after that would be a bonus for me.

Yeah, Dodgers have been red hot as of late while the Pirates have cooled down. I believe the Braves are 1st place tho. Braves & Pirates brings back bad memories from the early 1990s LOL

thats true but the lightning have not done much other then the 2004 season and the 2010-2011 season in there history. I pretty much think are 2010-2011 season was a fluke!

I'd like to think the 2010-11 season was a fluke as well. Was a really bad series for my Pens. Lightning have commanded my respect ever since, but for some reason didn't meet expectations. I think they made a good coaching change and will get more out of the players (other than Stamkos & St Louis) this year.

This is the first season in 15 years we will be without Vinny. While a great player and holder of all the offensive records for the team I doubt his plus/minus is any better than EVEN. In the later years way below. I feel Philly made a big mistake in signing him for four years.

Wow , just looked it up and as near as I can tell Vinny is a - 120 for his career. Thats awful , I had no idea it was that bad. It was the early years he was so bad though.

Oh well, the Habs snatched up Douglass Murray for 1.5 mil for 1 season. I really think they got a steal. I was really hoping the Bolts would take him. We need his size, grit and his age to mentor youth that we have on D. Not to mention, Murray can clear the crease for our young netminders. Oh well, I have high hopes for the Bolts but truly feel that our sub par D will allow a record amount of shots on goal per game & our young, talented netminders will get the blame. C'mon Stevie Y, they are goalies not magicians...ADDRESS THE D!!!!!!!

Wow Bolt, I never realized he was that bad on +/-! He is still very talented but ever since that cheap shot he was injured by, he was never the same. Almost like he shied away from going full throttle.

Hmm, I kind of like the Lacavalier signing by the Flyers. I fully acknowledge that he's not the player he used to be but it does add veteran leadership to the forward lines, which is is needed with the departure of Briere.
