There's no doubt levy benefited from suh. The entire defense did, I'm neutral on levy. It really depends on how he performs this.season and what it will cost to retain him. He's had two great years, before that he sucked. So we shall see.

Pfffft that's just your repressed anger talking. Crazy bastard.

What do you call tons of money? Suh was making some good coin against the books just last year.

15+ mil a year. I am not paying QB money to any player other than QB, WR, CB and DE.

If he is asking Suh type money (and I heard he is close) then no way

He is asking for 14 million per with around 40 million guaranteed i bet he would take 5y/65 million with 34-36 guaranteed if the Jets offered it and he's definitely worth that imo the cap is supposed to be getting another large increase next year and DT money is only going up from here as its the 4th most important position after QB, LT, and Edge.

I could live with this. 13 Mil for a guy as young as him even at that position is acceptable.

I want to see what we have in Reid and Walker and the new kid at this point though. Reid already looks like he has transformed into ox. Saw a picture of him this week at practice next to Ngata and he did not look much smaller. Seems he has beefed up except he is all muscle now. I want to see how that translates on the field because he looked more than adequate last year when if he did have that body type. Walker has also looked good in minimal playing time so I want to see what he does with more time.

Fixed it for me. :L

Lions looking at Mike Patterson, not Wilkerson. Can't afford him.

Tough but probably not. it would depend on what the future cap is going to be though.
I don't see how we can bring him in this year. Not without dealing our first rounder anyway. So I was just curious for next year.

Yup, I agree. Not sure how high I would go next year until I know the increase in the cap. Wilkerson is scraping the ceiling, but I think if it goes up another 10 million on top of the 10 already expected then it is not out of the question.

The other problem next year will be we will be bidding against crap teams who have lots of money to blow so its not likely then either.

Right, I don't think the bidding would even start at 13 if he hits the open market. He won't get Suh money, but he could very we'll be the highest paid player on the team who lands him.

It would not surprise me if he did or at least got close. Teams spending crazy money.

Big Mo is crazy good though.

Mike Patterson hasn't retired yet? Well hot damn! He could really teach Tyrun Walker how to occupy space and cash pay checks.
