Out of idle curiosity, how worried is everyone here that J.J. might overextend himself during the season and have a sketchy postseason (assuming we get there, of course.)

I know it's the 600 lb gorilla in the room and I hesitate to bring it up.. just something I've thought about on-and-off again the last couple of weeks.

After all, it is only mid-July.

JJ is still one of the top closers in the league. Even last year, he was prone to letting guys get on base before shutting it down.

That's kinda how I feel. I expect to be antsy with him on the mound.. I really don't forsee 1-2-3 innings in the postseason. I can't see him having the same kind of blowout he had last postseason either... just a hunch on that.

JJ scares the crap out of me...funny thing is at the beginning of last year he scared the crap out of me as well...and than all of a sudden he became Mr. Consistent...well that was fun while it lasted because he is back to scaring the crap out of me again. No fun. Reminds me of every team I am a fan of. Get a lead, and its never safe. Such is life. Hopefully he figures out his problems and gets us over the hump when needed...because as it stands now he is still the best man for the job.
