It depends if we get a safety in FA. If we don't address safety in FA then we have to look at Collins at #6. Merri and Thomas back there should give everyone nightmares.

IMO, until more information is revealed through the combine, I'd like to see that pick traded for a low 1st and 2nd.
There are a LOT of OL available this year, and with no-pass rush Collins "could" get abused in the passing game.
Haven't seen much of him on tape, looks ok....not better than Mark Barron or Eric Reid....which is a guy a lot thought wasn't worthy to go in the 1st.

There's safeties in the 2-4 round range that are good in coverage and aren't afraid to tackle.

No way would I draft him, with our needs up front.

2015 NFL Draft Prospect Profile - Landon Collins, SS

i think he can be a solid safety for us but i really hate to have a top 6 pick be solid

he does have tools though so maybe he can be more but at this point i dont have a real warm and fuzzy about him

I agree! I like Landon Collins, but not where we'll be picking. We need a flat-out stud, who can come in and make an instant impact. I'm about 50-50 on his ability to do such. I like his run-stopping ability, but his pass-coverage does not impress me. Of course, that has been our Achilles heel for several year at the safety position.
