Absolutely love the kid.

Deserves accolades and is a game-changing talent.

But, when the lights are brightest he shrivels more than George Costanza.

2 Time NFL MVP that has never been to a Super Bowl. Crazy.

Jackson is only 27 years old. People said this about Peyton Manning, when he was in his 20s.

True... he will have other opportunities, but he very dangerous as running QB, so his window may be smaller than some. I thought he was going to get there this year.

The room is also a bit more crowded in the AFC for good/great QBs... Mahomes, Burrow, Hebert (now with Harbaugh), Allen, Stroud, not an easy task in AFC to get there.

Starting to follow Rodgers career path a bit... great regular seasons, post seasons not as much success. Rodgers got one Super Bowl title... hopefully he gets his chance, seems like a good guy.

Eh.... you got the #1 defense in the NFL and you are a mobile QB. If you stay healthy your team is a default playoff appearance and then gets eventually weeded out. Unimpressed.

The fuck does woke have to do with it?

If Wilson got no votes it's probably because other QBs were better that year. Also Lamar > Russell especially with the running

Yep, thought for sure this was a good year for a non QB to win it (CMC)

But it's clear it's the MVQB award for good now.

Yah, I just really thought it should've been CMAC... I guess the 9ers have so many good players on their team he got cast aside.

The woke comment was admittedly a bit ridiculous... I'll be a reasonable shark, today..

The current MVP voting system is relatively new. Wilson probably would have gotten votes in the current system in his peak years.

Yeah but Wilson always played better than his numbers because with the game on the line he was one of the best in the league. He won a ton of games, big games, with last minute drives. He clearly had IT. Lamar has just not shown that he has IT, and I'm not sure we can counting on that changing. Without the ability to deliver in the biggest moments, well.......

Nothing at all. Woke means being aware of the injustices in our society.

Wilson never won any because he always up against The Sheriff, California Cool, and Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood.

MVP awards are pointless now.
Just a media driven award.
Doesnt matter how they play.
Just who they want to win it.

Was actually surprised at how close he was to getting a unanimous vote this year

It was definitely waaay closer this year than years past on paper. McCafferey/Allen should have had more points

His '19 season was clearly better, though he did better in some areas this year.

Was definitely some groupthink, imo. SAS accusing a Patriots fan of being a Josh Allen/Bills homer was pretty funny and on the nose for how aloof a lot of media members actually are. Not super into Lamar's MVP, but can respect the pro-Lamar MVP perspective. Just don't see how it should've been nearly unanimous. I figured it would be a very close MVP race, personally. Purdy, Allen, and Lamar respectively had interesting cases.

Steve Nash of the NFL so far. Still young enough to build one heck of a legacy

Lamar has as many MVP awards as playoff wins.
