what r u grammar police , anyway, yea jeff van goofy! the guy who took out alonzo mornings legs, and got headbutted by his own player

Your JVG post wasn't the one that was wrong. It was your 'NBA is declining' post which is laughably false.

the only clown here is U! i'm telling you what i want to see after you asked me dingbat!

right now, there isn't one that has the BALLS to be that coach, they are only concerned about a paycheck!

off the top of my head i would not mind jeff gundy coming back, he's the only thing close

I have met Jeff Van Gundy and actually talked to him about his coaching philosophy.

He is one of the most progressive thinkers out there. He is very conservative and defensive minded, but he is not a strict disciplinarian at all. I actually somewhat pattern my personal philosophy after his.

In fact, when he was in Houston, he made a deal with TMac.

Van Gundy told TMac he would never question his shot selection or his offensive decision making as long as he always gave full effort defensively. Any defensive breakdowns, physical or mental were always fair game.

Again, I mentioned this before, likely brain damaged

so tell me, why has there been more head coach firings today than there has been in the history of the game...

especially since players today are bigger, stronger, faster?

Simple.

Because the top talent is clustered on a very small number of rosters and only 2-4 teams have any chance whatsoever at a title.

Everyone else needs to make small changes like firing their coach to make it appear to their fans that they are trying and to raise optimism for the next season.

But I sure as hell don't bully them either. There is a middle ground and Pop is in that. You still need to have high expectations, but you do have to treat players like human beings or they won't respond. That is proven fact.

I was at a coaches clinic years back with Jay Wright. Someone asked him how he responds when a player makes a mistake in a game. He said he always claps for mistakes in games, reassuring he player. On the practice floor is different. But in games you need confident players. Not scared players.

^^^Exactly^^^

A coach I learned a good bit from used to say, "Practice is for yelling, games are for yelling encouragement."

Not that there was never a time for "yelling" during a game...but those instances needed to be few and far between and carefully chosen.

Oh BULLSHIT! You really think Steph thinks he's LeBron? Anthony Davis? KD? Westbrook? You either don't follow the NBA or you're just trolling.

So stop watching then.

I have. There is absolutely no reason to watch an NBA game for me esp. when your a fan of the team thats supposed to lead the way, that has not won a championship for what 40 some odd years. The knicks org is killing the NBA, and the morons up top are allowing it!

The only one who sounds like a moron is you.

The best part about it though...is that everyone knows it...except you.

Which makes you entertaining.

So at least you have that going for you.

What is entertaining is 60 minutes doing a story about a player they claim is the best in the world and it ain’t LeBron

How embarrassing is it that they need to promote the NBA in this manner!

Tuned in to rockets / warriors , heard & saw just enough to tune right out!

First off both teams throwing up low % shots 20 ft behind the arc. Very indisciplined start for both.... then during time out I hear Kerr saying... ‘ I couldn’t be more happy with you guys right now.

I puked!
