Nice game, Hawks didn't really seem all that interested in playing after Quick made a few saves

Junior had his game at 5:30pm so I got to watch the 3rd only but wow, what an effort. Kings looked ON. Great win, sounds like the Lucic goal was a back breaker and nice to see some guys who need goals gets them. Was very concerned with Toffoli, he has had these streaks before and the Kings need him to be firing when April comes.

On a side note, Junior I took his first big time check tonight, bigger kid just crushed him against the boards. I mean, he got crushed - this kid had a bead on him and I'm screaming "heads up, heads up!!" as he skated in on my son.

He fell down and was on his side crying for a minute or two, I'm the head coach of his team and wanted to slap the big kid but had to be cool so I went out there, checked him, he was fine but a little sore, got him to the bench and kept asking if he was OK to go and he said yes but needed a break for a minute. These are 6U kids, my son is 5 and the big kid is 7, not even sure what he is doing in this league. I was worried, he broke his collarbone 3 weeks before he turned 2 in 2012 and it was the same left side that took the hit.

Three shifts later the big kid bobbles the puck in his skates, Junior not only takes the puck, floors this little shit head (he was out there bullying all the smaller kids), skates in one on one with the goalie and backhands it 5 hole.

Proud moment for this dad, he showed a little Pucky Sr. nasty tonight.

Good response by the team on the road after a letdown vs NJ. Question is now do they play Quick on the back to back? Makes me wonder why they didn't play Enroth vs NJ.

My question too, I posted I thought Enroth would make sense against NJ. Not sure why he didn't get the start, 3 games in 4 nights is a bit much for any goalie but we know Sutter loves to ride his starter.

Up 4-1 now, they will most likely win this game. My money is still on them playing 50/50 hockey heading into April.

I expected them to win this game, playing a crappy Devils team in their last road game in CA before leaving for home. Still would make them 1-2-1 since the Kings game or .375 hockey.

My guess is them being roughly around .500 the rest of the way, something like 7-8 or 8-7.

All the California teams must be close to clinching post season, just not position.
Kings creating up on Conference lead as well I think

4 points out, 2 games in hand on the Blues, Hawks, Stars and Predators. Not concerned about the conference lead, just finish first in the Pacific. Ducks are going to win tonight and SJ is nipping at their heels too.

Kings are quietly 7-2-1 in their last 10.

NHL Picks: Blackhawks will top Kings in battle of Cup contenders

How'd thatwork out for ya.

=)~~

This one got me. Sorry, no dice. Good goalie having a great season. He's just as good as he is bad some years.

The other big factor here: Even though their league-wide reputations might not agree, the Blackhawks simply have the better goaltender. Pick: Blackhawks 3, Kings 1
