Yeesh, that was a bust of a draft. Never liked the Carpenter selection... I did like the Moffitt selection but busts happen and we weren't real great in our other picks either. Oh well.

Moffitt just seems like a guy that just wants to have a good time, to bad, you need to care about success in a career also. Wish him luck.

Really funny guy. Too bad, he's a guy you would like to see be successful. Guess it just did not work out. Goes to show you that it takes more than just size and natural ability but also an extreme work ethic.

Good of him to just retire instead of loiter around the NFL to collect as many paychecks as possible.

Look like that what he plans on doing. I think it's great that he decides to leave on his own term and don't want to put his body at risk. Not a lot of people can walk away from 1 million dollars.

Im sure that 1 million isnt all guarenteed, like most contracts you have to perform every little incentive to reach full payment and after taxes im sure its half that. I think what he was trying to explain in his twitter was that he loved football but being in an industry where its so cut throat and how serious things are with winning or losing can cost someones job kinda takes away from his fun passion for the game. im sure he has something on the side already in the works for him to leave the game the way he did...

Someone in charge of these kinds of things should really think about designing a font specifically for sarcasm or take an existing font and designate it the sarcastic font. That way we wouldn't have to keep guessing whether someone is being sarcastic or not. Why hasn't someone gotten on that yet?

Moffitt should have a TV deal with NFL Network or ESPN shortly I would think. Michael Robinson had a studio gig for NFL Network almost immediately after the Seahawks cut him, so I see no reason why Moffitt can't get his own gig sooner rather than later.
