If I had my choice I'd just assume Kirby stay tbh.

Yep Saban and Kirby obviously have a deep mutual understanding/respect about things.

Not that I know much about Pruitt, other than I was always told he burned bridges(which apparently wasn't true enough).

I mean I knew it was going to happen but I wanted him at Michigan. He would have been an improvement over Derpkin. I apparently he's a hyper-competitive sociopath like Harbaugh so the entertainment value would have been priceless.

Oh well apparently we offered Stanford's DC the job, which I'm not a fan of.

I think we should have hired Lane Kiffin as DC. He knows how to stop an offense with ease.

So. Since Smart is staying on till the playoffs is Pruitt allowed to recruit for Alabama and visa versa for Smart with Georgia?

Keep him out of the college bars and away from Saban's daughters. Otherwise he'll be gone in a year or two because he is diddling around and his old lady doesn't like that.

He is a good DC when he has elite level talent and upperclassmen. Like 2013 FSU. Then last year and this at UGA? Not so much. He should be fine at Bama.with Saban looking over his shoulder.

Doesn't matter because the recruiting dead period is starting and doesn't end until after the playoffs.

Smart will be the DC for the playoffs while Pruitt works as an adviser and probably other admin stuff. He isn't allowed to do any on field coaching I seen reported earlier today.

He's been good everywhere he's been, including the 5 years he's already spent at Bama. UGA's biggest problem this season was their offense. They still had the #8 defense in the country. I can't think of another D coordinator I'd rather have besides having Smart back or promoting Mel Tucker.

He was a recruiting coordinator and secondary coach at Bama right?

Correct, sir. Actually had right at the best secondary they've had under Saban in those years. He was born about 20-30 mins from where I live and coached around here through my high school years. I mentioned it earlier, but his father is the coach at my son's high school right now. It's awesome for me personally to see him as Bama's DC now... albeit fairly crazy at the same time.

Seems like a nice hire to me. Shouldn't see much if any drop off with Smart's departure.
