I think there's a lot of misunderstanding going on. His team is inconsistent but they're better than they were last year and they played A&M pretty tough. They're physical. They have good underclassmen who will know the system when they're seniors. And the hog nation is still behind him. The media is just picking on an easy target. BB is an honest guy, and a good one. Wish the hogs all the best. Hope coach gets an SEC title soon.

Take out that last sentence and I totally agree.

I still dont get why a great coach would leave being in the easy Big Ten for the tough SEC...and to go to NW Arkansas of all places

In 3 years? Arkansas will have cancelled their football program out of embarassment.

The answer to most of life's questions is money.

He is young. He would make MUCH more money dominating the Big Ten for the next 25 years compared to just hoping to keep his job at Arky

It will be funny to see that jerk fall on his face.

He was given a gift of a job at wisky, Alvarez had the machine running great, he just had to change the oil and put tires on it. Never had to do any rebuilding at all, which is what arky was/is in need of.

He's the Larry Coker of this decade, only he smell's like Summer's Eve.

The AD is supposed to be involved in the program, no? Especially seeing as though King Barry was Fat Bret's mentor and such.

That theory is pretty popular, but it was Bielema's program. My guess is that it started when Barry took Urban's side in the little recruiting spat BB and Urban had. Bielema also believed that he had a better chance to keep winning if he could pay his staff more. Programs have staff turnover, but his gave him some real problems. He wanted to be able to offer them more money. People need to stop looking for the magic bullet reason. He had plenty of reasons in his mind.

I think it was about:

5% Assistant Pay
15% Barry's involvement
30% Anger over Lack of Credit (which often went to Barry)
50% His Wife's Hatred of Madison/ our fans who considered her a gold digging cocktail waitress.

The #karma tweet made it pretty clear who has the pants in that family.
