I hear he just signed a multiyear contract with Sunnydale Retirement Home. He's a lock for 1,000 yards in the Old Guy Football League this year.

AP - Sunnydale Retirement Home and Adrian Peterson agreed to terms on a two-year deal Tuesday.

Peterson, 33, took a free-agent visit to Sunnydale Retirement Home two weeks ago and both sides continued to talk until the deal was finalized Tuesday.

He spent 10 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, rushing for at least 1,000 yards seven times.

Peterson released the following statement through ESPN's Josina Anderson regarding signing with Sunnydale Retirement Home:

"I am excited to be joining Sunnydale Retirement Home. I'm really looking forward to this opportunity. Most importantly, I chose this team because it just felt right within my spirit. Additionally, my wife and family added their confirmation with the same feelings.

"On offense, it goes without saying that Sunnydale Retirement Home is really solid behind Vinny Testaverde. I feel like my skill set can make them even more dominant as a unit. They have a great offensive line, which is something that stood out to me as well. I could tell from talking to head coach Jeff Fisher over the last two weeks that he did his due diligence in evaluating how I could contribute.

"I also did a lot of homework on the defense as well. While I know that injuries have played a role in performance, I also see areas of potential with a lot of younger guys having the ability to step up. Lastly, it goes without saying that they have an amazing fan base and I look forward to making them proud and creating everlasting memories."

He put himself in this situation. He was great at running the ball, but never even average at any other aspect of playing RB. He still thinks he's a top talent and along with being injured, he isn't worth taking a chance on anymore.

Bullshit, he was a decent receiver it's just he never had a QB we trusted enough to throw him the ball, it was just easier to hand it to him.

Ok, explain how his blocking and receiving has been better than average, because I know you and I watched the same player for his entire career and to me, both were mediocre at best.
