Alberto is primarily a SS ... small number of games at 2b and 3b ... but he's a better option at 2b backup than is DeShields. I don't see Alberto as a long term UIF candidate.

Bet Alberto gets at least one start at SS this series if nothing more than to send a message to Elvis that he can be replaced. Alberto is batting over .300 for Round Rock with a .742 OPS.

Elvis has him blocked at this point ... with them both on the ML roster it is now show time.

Better backup SS than Rosales I would guess. They are probably going to be prepared to bench Elvis a little more often.
