December 21. Right on time. High today here expected to be 50 by early afternoon. Light snow starting around 7:00 pm. By 7:00 am tomorrow will be minus 11. The misery index will be much worse. The good news? It’s fast moving and will be just two days of hanging around the house,

How is it in Iowa? Maryland? New York? Texas? Hawaii?- never mind we don’t want to hear about paradise…it’s winter!

Minus 11? Damn. At least here at 5,318' it'll be a little warmer, minus 6.

Apparently the cold front everyone is calling a generational storm (like Houston has seen enough of those this decade already) will take us from 54 degrees today, to 20 degrees overnight, then up to almost 60 tomorrow around 2pm, then back down to teens early Friday morning before settling into the 30's and 40's over the weekend for a brief and almost snowballs chance in Houston shot at snow for Christmas.

It's whatever.

SW CO isn't getting this storm, which is a bummer as we need the moisture. Highs in the low 30's, lows in the teens about normal for this time of year at 9,000 feet.

Going down to around 10 tonight, unheard of in Delaware. We are well stocked with food, booze, wine and beer. Plenty of cat and dog food as well. We could walk to two groceries, two bars and a liquor store if necessary. I don’t plan to go out for a couple of days, though.

-33 below wind chill factor where I am at. Blizzard like conditions. Cold, windy, snowy... I don't feel bad for these Florida folks whining about 31 degrees.
I do. They aren't prepared and don't have the structures in place to deal with this kind of weather. Sucks for those trying to make things work when there's no salt spreaders, plows, roads weren't created and grades not developed with snow or ice in mind.

That said, STFU and stay home whiny bitches. You know you aren't prepared, and cant be.

It's like Houston. People know I've lived in Denver and Anchorage for a number of years, and ask why I'm scared to drive.

It's because you don't know how to drive in this weather Francis. It has nothing to do with me. :D

It's like driving in the mountains behind a car with Texas plates - they can't drive in the mountains, and they can't drive in weather.

Whats funny is I forgot how to drive in the mountains my last trip to Denver. Had to get new brake pads when I got home.

Sorry, I still don't feel bad for them when they are complaining about how cold it is bundled up in their little hoodies and sweat pants afraid to leave the house because of the cold.

I didn't say anything about snow.
