Hagelin to Jets????

Smith Pelly cleared, opening up a roster spot SNF freeing up about $1.1 million.

Hagelin has been sent to the Caps for a 2019 3rd round pick and a 2020 conditional 6th round pick. No details yet but In assuming the 2020 pick is contingent on how far the Caps go or if he resigns in Washington but the Kings retain 50% salary.

Not a fan of that part but this opens a full time spot for a younger player. I'm hoping we see Grundstrom.

We all knew this was coming with him being a GIII UFA this summer so no shock there. He never really stood out here but also wasn't terrible.

So Pearson becomes basically a 3rd round pick and maybe a 6th, which I don't think is too bad considering how far and fast he fell off the map the last 2 years.

Conditions of the 2020 6th round pick are the Capitals must win at least 2 rounds in the POs AND Hagelin must appear in at least 50% of any two rounds combined. Basically If they don't make the ECFs minimum there will be no extra pick for LA in 2020.

Tells me barring a serious run he is a pure rental and will hit the market again this summer.
