For the first time in weeks we were consistently connecting with our passes. Our breakout was fantastic lastnight, I felt like we were constantly catching them flat footed and going on the attack.

For the most part I felt like we did a great job clogging the middle on D, they didn't really seem to have a fall back plan once we eliminated the slot and front of the net.

Not too much of a shocker, but I found it interesting that Larry Robinson recently said Patrik Elias is the smartest hockey player he's seen, both coaching and playing. He said his hockey IQ and instincts are just through the roof. I still think if he played on a run and gun type of team he'd be a 90 point player every year.

Playing a huge rival is a cure all. It did feel like a playoff matchup. The pregame show was pretty cool showing the history of the 2 teams. Stevens ko on lindros etc.


Friday can get ugly really fast. I wouldn't be all that upset if jansen got into the lineup

If Carter is suspended, not sure he will be, but I would like to see Matteau get in there. We could use some more physicality against these guys. Love that A-Train took a run at Simmonds lastnight, love that Hartnell got embarassed by Kostopoulos, Salvador and Simmonds were going at it all night. Stay out of the box and let them take the penalties.

i read somewhere that they reviewed the hit and determined it wasnt on purpose and no suspension coming.

heck 2 days earlier ott busted kellys knee out in ottawa and he didnt get anything. would look pretty bad if they let that go and went after carter
