On MLB Network, Mitch Williams was saying that maybe Holliday's back spasms have something to do with that slide in Game 2 because his back bent backward when he hit Scutaro. LOL.

Baseball is funny. If Belt's triple carries another ten feet it's a homerun and the Giants probably don't mount a four run rally in that inning. Fish isn't walked, the SS doesn't have to reverse his momentum on the butcher-boy hit-and-run, causing the boot, and moving the line to the top of the order with runners on base.

Of course, pointing this out also shows that Matheny's decision to try to choke off the second run back-fired and helped lead to the big inning. Maybe he doesn't make that decision if Vogelstrong hasn't already shown that he's dealing.
