Halftime thoughts:

Overall, this is a weird game. The Bengals have piled up 103 yards rushing in the first half after gaining only 103 through 2 games. I assumed our run defense had given up so many yards due to the two offenses they played, but it may be that they are just not that good yet. On the other hand, the Bengals offense was going to get it going on the ground sooner or later.

Meanwhile the Broncos run offense has been kept under control entirely by that bottom-tier run defense. That's not good.

Siemian has a lower completion percentage than usual, but 2 TDs make that easy to overlook. Should have given up a couple picks but those Bengals players thankfully have bricks fro hands today.

Lots of penalties on both sides. Despite a Pats fan dropping in with his tinfoil hat on, the game has been called pretty evenly.

Lots of hard hits both ways.

That missed PAT may factor huge into the final result of this game. It's always an uneasy feeling in a close game when you miss a near-sure thing like a PAT.

Broncos 16, Bengals 14 at halftime. First road game for the Broncos, first road start for Siemian. I'll take a 2 point lead at halftime. Hopefully the run game gets its feet in the 2nd half and the run defense clamps down.

Siemian 312 yards and 4 TDs. Just this morning I said something about not expecting a 350 yard, 4 TD day. I have never been more happy to be wrong.

I picked the Broncos to win in the message board pick'em contest but I've been singing the blues all week about this potentially being a loss. I love being wrong!

What a game. Siemian had a statement game today. No help from the run game and in a hostile environment really carried that offense. To go into a tough venue and beat the Bengals by 12 points is a great team effort. And the defense came through once again. I am a little concerned about the run defense, but to give the offenses the Broncos have faced a total of 57 points...in the end how can you complain about that?

Very impressive all around. Even with the struggles of a running game the offense picked it up and scored some points. Great defense in the second half on Hill and the rest of the Bengals. Good to see all the Broncos weapons on the outside get it going. Great win on the road against a quality team. Very impressive. Peace.

Just wondering cincygrad, do you as a true fan, ever predict your team will lose or bet against them vs any team during season ? Or do you always wave your fandom colors regardless? I'm doing a thesis on the subject and am reaching out to fans of all teams on the " what is a true fan ? ". Appreciate your response

What is so impressive to me is our coaching staff, the adjustments and the fact that we make very good QBs look bad and completely take them out of the game ..

Trevor let is fly when we needed it - he was undaunted and made some beautiful throws after a few overthrows and hard hits from the Cincy D ..

It was great to see the TEs get involved - Heuermann's first NFL catch was a good one

I'm not overly concerned yet. More than 1/3 of Cincy's run yards came from one play. In fact, Hill had 16 carries for 47 yards and one carry (early in the game) for 50 yards. The fact we kept Hill under 100 yards even after that first drive is commendable.
