I think the game was a lot closer than the score shows, even at 3-1 without the empty netter. I liked some of the physicality and effort that I saw, but we needed to score on the power play to open the third period. Once down by two, I don't think we did anything significant. Maybe Manning should sit out the next one on defense and Simmonds needs to be better defensively too.
