Figured this could be a thread of any signing whether for the Broncos or elsewhere. Also a place to discuss any potential signings that you would like or have heard rumored to the Broncos.

There is news coming out of Dove Valley today beyond just Manning. The Broncos have tendered CJ Anderson, Sam Brenner, and Brandon Marshall.

The surprising thing though is they did not tender any of them quite what I thought they would. Anderson got a low round tender and Marshall only got a 2nd round tender. So we could honestly see some possible offers for those guys.

Hey Cd, is there NFL restrictions also involved into how high of a tender you can put on a player based on years in league, production, etc? The reason I'm wondering is because you seem surprised CJ wasn't higher tender. A 2nd actually seems pretty high for Marshall so maybe there isn't any stipulations on the tender " rating ",if you will.

Well with CJ being a Pro Bowl caliber RB yeah I am surprised the Broncos didn't put a higher tender on him. No there are no restrictions on how high of a tender they can put on a player that is a RFA. With Marshall I just figured they couldn't risk losing both him and Trevathan in the same off season so I figured they would give him a 1st round tender. I doubt anybody will trade for Marshall but it does open the possibility of it happening. Now I do remember the Broncos did the same thing with Harris though when he was a RFA. They like to put the guys on the borderline of teams thinking about taking the chance. Elway is a very calculated business man in he is willing to take some risks in the hopes of saving a bit of money to help out elsewhere.

The dream scenario would be to ride with a rookie QB and still dominate and compete for a Lombardi like Seattle did for 3 years with Russell Wilson.

Brock can go play for HOU at $15MM. Even Dalton is only guaranteed $17MM over his contract.

How does that transition tag look now had Denver been able to sign Von. $17.5 MM for one year prove yourself would have been another best scenario.

The FA period like someone said if your mouth is moving its probably a lie

Well, that depends on what they offer. What if they offer him 8MM a year? I don't see JE paying that for an ILB. At least that hasn't been the history with him.

I think Marshall will probably get his one year tender then a hopefully big contract next year for his sake. I was talking to him last night. He was obviously hoping for the big deal this year but he REALLY wants to stay a Bronco.

IMO a 2nd round tender seems right for Marshall. He has played very well, but he hasn't made a Pro Bowl yet, has had a few injuries and LB isn't exactly what teams pay eye popping numbers too unless you're a 3-4 pass rush OLB like Miller, Ware, etc.

2nd round tender is what I expected.

Sounds like the Raiders will sign Osemele tomorrow. I hope they have to overpay to get these guys. :)

The rumor is he is making over $11 million a year which puts him top-5 for OL players.

I'm also hearing the Jaguars are the front-runners to get Malik and could have a deal done sometime today and sign it right when the league year starts tomorrow.
