For me, it's cutting up raw chicken. I hate it.

Slimy, wriggly, messy, and a bitch to clean up.

Definitely chicken. That's what I mainly eat now, more so than beef. I just hate handling & cutting it up. Onions are another food I love but I really hate dealing with it.

none of it really bothers me. I hate dealing with raw meat, just because I typically go through a ton of paper towels and then go through and have to wipe down everything in the kitchen because I'm afraid of cross-contamination

Raw chicken is kinda gross to trim up. Especially if we're talking gutting, plucking and skinning. Not a huge fan of scaling fish either. I know an onion is going to be delicious if tears are rolling down my face. (Even on my nights off from cooking the onion is my duty. Her eyes almost swell shut.). Absolutely love onions though. (Zucchini and summer squash,(with mushrooms and sweet onion) from the garden tonight. So good I cried before turning on the stove.)

:agree:

I never like deveining shrimp.... but I love throwing them on the grill...

Fileting a fish I just caught is always pretty messy... but I love cooking fresh trout on a campfire...

I have more issues with seafood than with chicken - and I like eating it more than chicken.

jager schnitzel. Takes too long to pound them down thin then a double dipped batter. The gravy doesn't take long, but it's another step...and now just the meat is done ready. Still need the starch and veggie.

But man I love me some jager schnitzel.

And sometimes making a salad. I also like a salad to go with dinner, but man...it all takes time.

Gnudi (Spinach dumplings) are a bit of a pain because you have to mix it all with your hands and it is so sticky.

Gutting a deer is never fun worrying about poking something with the knife you don't want to hit...

Clean a gut shot deer and you'll not worry about nicking a spot ever again.

Good point Ford.

One of those hard plastic cutting boards for food prep are invaluable to have and chop on, easy on cleanup as well.

Bread, pie crust, and generally anything that takes more time to prep than to cook.

I've heard of it, but never done it. What's the point of deveining?

and lol @ you pussies and your raw chicken. It's just chicken, grab a hold to it and take care of business.

Just wash those hands when you're done.

And I have 3 cutting boards for different purposes. I agree, I love the plastic one for my raw chicken, pork, and seafood. Then I have a huge wooden one with a nice drip edge all the way around to catch any juices that I use for cooked meats and veggies. Then a third one for raw beef.

Some prawns have giant poop chutes! You're eating poop if you don't devein! It's gross and by far one of the most tedious food prep tasks. That, and popping their heads off. I hate when I get stabbed by one.

I love liver and onions, but Gawwwwwd, it can stink up a kitchen.

Sometimes, I'll throw a skillet on the outdoor grill, and fry it in the open air.
