Floyd stays home...Iowa at Minnesota

I feel more confident going into this game after last week, but I know Minny is also 4-0 and really want to win this one. I think our offense is better than their defense, but we need to block well and get those big runs. Was happy to see 4 RB's in the game last week, easy to see how Daniels is a bruiser like Weisman and then Canzeri and Bullock with the speed, but I was most excited to see Powell's speed.

I am not sure how to judge our defense vs their offense...from what I have seen they are ok, but the unknown is again, another dual threat QB. I think we can hold the runs, but have to attack that kid and hold him down.

B10 play is not like OOC so we need to bring intensity and play a good game all around, would love to see more special teams td's and turnovers. Will be thrilled if this game ends up being 31-13 like last year, but love the fact we haven't given up a rushing td yet and think that streak continues. Just want them to get after it with high energy and intensity all day.

Oddly enough I really wanted this game to be played at 11 am...seems we do our best when we are hungry, 2:30 games are not my fave. I wonder if there are stats out there for how well we do at 11 vs 2:30 vs night time.

I just want one of three things to happen and I'll be happy:

1) A random Hawkeye fan bangs another married woman in the MN bathroom
2) We tear down their goalposts again, march around the field for 30 minutes, then proceed to march them outdoors and parade around downtown Minneapolis with them.
3) A win, don't care the score.

It should be a good one...if our D can stop the run, which they've done all season so far, I thin the Hawks should get the job done. We just have to hold on to the ball and not make too many mental errors

I read their D is pretty good this year, we are holding teams to under 100 yards rushing and Minny is just over at 102 per game rushing...we will see, ready for Saturday

Iowa wins this game easily. Minnesota is a one dimensional team, and Iowa stops the run. Go Hawks!!!!

Minnesota hasn't shut any real running team down. 3 of their 4 opponents are listed at 85th or worse in the country in rushing. Iowa comes in at 13th. Minnesota will get smacked early and often, just like last year, and this years D is better than last years, and this years O is better than last years.

And does any really realize how close this team is to being 4 and 0? Northern Illini is still garnering votes in all polls..and has only lost 2 times in the past 26 games...once to the Hawks...

Went over to the Minny board, they do not have any fans posting there at this time...last post was last July. I am still seeing tons of folks picking Minnesota to win Sat, Bleacher Report, CBS, ESPN, etc, only Vegas is seeing this as an Iowa win maybe...really want to win this one.

Saw in the Gazette some joker of a safety thinks from MN point of view that Iowa is their main rival, never knew that. Don't they go for the jug or something against Michigan? I don't think MN is our main rival but do not like losing the pig. We really need to stop their running game and I think we will be fine.
