First Series Victory

I loved that series. Maurer pitched well and Felix and Bear did their things. Over the Angels no less. The Angels have a couple guys hurt, but so do we and Hamilton is struggling, but we have a few of those as well. Pitching won this series and if their ace wasn't hurt it might have been a split, but I'll take it.

Now, starting today I am predicting the Orioles sweep us and Adam Jones goes off and reminds us of the Bedard fiasco. I still have a few more hours to relish the wins over the Angels though. Nothing like seeing their huge payroll suffer.

Personally I can't understand why the Angels are so bad, there is so much talent in that lineup.

I guess I was a bit premature on my prediction of being swept. Joe Saunders brought his nasty stuff today. Many 1, 2 or 3 pitch at bats. 93 pitches through 8.

They bounced back nicely after the lackluster effort they put up on Tuesday. I wouldn't rule out how the schedule worked out in terms of off days as being part of the reason we finished April with a 12-17 record. All things considered, our record could have been a lot worse than it is. With four days off over the course of the next two weeks after just one in the entire month of April, the hope now is that they don't get too rusty... lol.

yea! nice to win a series against a quality team especially without our two horses pitching. Now we finally have some off days to get some rest. Hopefully May is a lot better although we do have a lot of road games coming so it should be interesting.
