I’m still in shock. Can’t believe Jax took Walker over Hutchinson & Thibodeaux and can’t believe we actually landed Hutchinson. I totally sold myself that Holmes was taking another Duck.

Is the trade up for Jameson Williams or Malik Willis.

If it's for Kyle Hamilton, I won't be happy

No.32, No.34 and No.97 for No.12

No.32 = 590
No.34 = 560
No.92 = 112
---------------
............. = 1262

No.12 = 1200

They had to overpay for that far of a move.

I love the player when he was healthy, but this type of lost capitol when our needs on the defensive side outweigh the offensive side is ridiculous. JMO

Dirt cheap in total cost/cap hit for 1st four years.
That's one way to minimize the sting.
WR that prove themselves worthy of top 5-10 are receiving ludicrous amounts of money in FA.
Jameson, once healthy, could become top 5-10 WR with a QB who is capable of getting him the ball deep. Goff hasn't exactly proven that consistently.

I would want to believe No.46 has to be either S or LB and vice versa when it comes to No.97

I don't know man. Trading up and not for a QB is usually a huge mistake.
Would of been happy if it was Willis the QB. Not saying he will be automatic but a much greater impact player at least.

The non-move to acquire Willis is proof that Goff is Holmes' guy until he proves otherwise. We all have our opinions on Goff no matter how much they vary, but Holmes has clearly spoken for 2022.

Just wait until tomorrow night when Holmes could and probably will draft LSU LB Damone Clark at No.97 (unless they trade down into 4th round from here) who just had spinal neck hernia surgery and will most likely be out all of 2022.

Lions FO, Spielman and LB position coach Kelvin Sheppard raved about Clark.

Brad Holmes is a thief, a menace, and a swindler. He’s robbed the Vikings blind with this trade to move back up to the 12th-overall pick. Here are the official terms of the trade, per the team:

Lions get: Pick 12, Pick 46 (second round)
Vikings get: Pick 32, Pick 34 (second round), Pick 66 (third round)

I had a hunch at first sight that it was a good deal, so I did some digging. According to the Rich Hill Draft Value model—the most modern chart to date—the Lions gave up 435 points of value and gained 475 points of value. In other words, they gained 40 points of value by making this trade with the Vikings. For those wondering, according to the chart, the Lions gained the equivalent of the 95th overall pick—a late third-round pick.

All that resulted in the Lions getting arguably the most talented receiver in the draft in Jameson Williams. Had it not been for a torn ACL, Williams likely would’ve been one of the first names off the board Thursday night. I said on the Pride of Detroit live stream a half hour prior to the trade that whatever team gets Williams will have a really good player in six months when he’s healthy. Lucky for us, that team is the Detroit Lions.
