Do we expect better next year when this next offseason they will just bring more La Stella/Pollock/Wong types again?

I really don't trust them to fill in the gaps on this roster. Nothing they have done to date indicates they can get this team over the hump and make them really compete next year.

Problem is, Jerry, just like last offseason, has a legitimate argument he doesn’t need to add. Every position has a penciled in starter for next season either on the team or in the minors set to go. He has Rojas/Bliss and Canzone/Marlowe. Just as last year even before the Teoscar and Wong deals he had Marlowe (who almost made the playoff roster) and Dylan Moore. For sure they need upgrades for at least an OF spot, every infield position except SS and bullpen but he has plenty of arms that were hurt this year.

The Rojas/Canzone/Bliss trade penciled in the offense for next year.

Teo is an UFA after this year, you can't carry Ford next season, you can certainly upgrade a few slots on the team, and you NEVER have enough arms. Particularly in the pen where they just don't have synergy at this point.

If they stand pat, we will be at this same point this time next year. Maybe worse.

Upgrade yeah, I am strictly saying there is an argument. Canzone is Teo’s replacement in theory, Rojas and Bliss will fight it out with Dylan Moore sprinkled in and they have made it abundantly clear they don’t view DH as a position. Agree they can never have enough arms but realistically they have enough, they just got hurt or like Berroa weren’t quite ready. But for sure he will sign some bullpen arms of guys we have to google and be disappointed cause his numbers will stink.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t upgrade at all, but this was Jerry’s excuse last offseason is they had every position filled. Then in spring basically said they swapped Winker and Teo and brought Wong in to platoon with Moore. So just on paper he has an excuse to sell fans just as last year he said another year of growth and experience for the young core.

Today wasn't pretty but it's a win. And Ty France slid safely into home ?? Yes sports fan, the impossible has happened. Ty the 'Sloth' France scored from 2nd base on a base knock to the right fielder.

If we do not get swept by the Dodgers that will be the 2nd miracle of this homestand.
