This is my worse case scenario.
LaTech goes in and beats Texas the first week, then the second week LSU goes in and gets beat by Texas,
In these early games, Tech can be a very tough game for the big boys.

Also, that first week's game with Ga Southern isn't going to be a push over.
It's conceivable both Texas and LSU gets beat the first week!
My confidence in the Vowel Coaches is very low.

I am reminded of a Jim Walden quote after he was asked if Iowa State had overlooked Baylor in 1988 after the Cyclones lost to the Bears in Ames 0-35. He said something like "With this team, we cannot afford to look past anybody!" lol. I was never a Jim Walden fan, but that was funny.

I think that's the point of the article, it's games teams need to be sure they don't overlook. OSU could look past Cincinnati, but how the hell is Auburn gonna look past a team ranked 8 spots ahead of them?

I am not defending BSPN at all, but we have that ability and I have seen us do it. Ranked 8 spots higher or lower matters not, we don't discriminate.

I don't mean to be too critical, because I do agree with several of these, but I also don't know how South Carolina presents a tougher challenge for Bama than any other SEC opponent. They lost a freakin BELK BOWL to a basketball college

It's probably based on the last time we played them. They were #1, we beat them (and we've beaten 7 of the all-time top 10 teams the last time we played them: OhSU, SoCal, ND, Mich, UTex, Nebraska...). We have a weird history of winning monumental games... only to fail afterwards.
