Sounds like there could/might even be a case for manslaughter charges in the death of lineman Jordan McNair....especially against strength and conditioning coach Rick Court as well as head coach DJ Durkin.

The Maryland football program could be fooked.

If these accusations and stories are true, I could even see Rick Court and DJ Durkin get jail time. The so called 'motivational' techniques described in the article do not work in the long run.... the players will detest this type of antagonizing behavior displayed by the coaches, with the result being that the players will not respect their coaches, rather, they will hate them. The coaches will eventually lose the locker room, and the program will gain the reputation of being toxic.

Proper motivational techniques lead to players willing to run through a wall for their coaches because the players have such a high level of respect for their coaches. In the case of Maryland, it sounds like the opposite is happening..... the players hate some of the coaches.

Again.... the Maryland football program could be in real trouble.
