I am surprised by the BG extension. I suspect it means we have seen the last of Timmy Jernigan for sure and probably Agholor and some others.
If Agholor is willing to stay at a significantly reduced number, they probably keep him. $2-$2.5 mil per would probably get it done, and save $6-$7 mil in cap space.

Happy to see him staying. Wonder if they do something with Bennett next. He's got two years left, but no guaranteed money.

I had exactly this thought when I read this. I was happy with Bennett's play last year. I don't think they would cut him this year. But if they feel they could get good value on a trade....maybe. It would also depend on how Barnett (and to a lesser degree Sweat) are progressing.

I could totally see Howie willing to listen to offers that MIGHT come up. Just don't think there will be any that wow them.

Previously mentioned....but Jerrnigan is absolutely restructured or gone at this point. Aggy....I want Aggy to stay. Just not anywhere near that number. First round pick coming into his second deal and wants commiserate pay. But that pay rate is way too much for a Slot WR, which are dimes a dozen.

I bet he could get twice that at least on the market. Not saying he should, just could. Unless there is another "hometown discount" coming.

No way. Minimum I think would be at least $5M+ to stay here. Plus a good singing bonus. He is very good. Just has to be used the right way.

It is kind of dumb because, good slot receivers can change games.

Aggy has nice deep speed, but he's not a sharp route runner and he's not a good contested ball guy. He also hasn't shown the ability to play outside once given the opportunity to be out there. Then you have the non-connection between he and Wentz ... Aggy was more of a Foles guy; Carson prefers Matthews in that slot role and Matthews can be re-upped for next to nothing.

I think its due to there being so many good slot recievers. Speed isn't neccessary. Just quickness or some size. Plenty of that out there

Exactly, its not to negate slot receivers, can be very important. But good ones tend to be a dime a dozen. Plenty of Nellys who couldn't hack it on the outside in the NFL, but can run like crazy when predominately matched against LB's and Safeties.

Saw the article on this and Houston today. If I am really considering it I am actually thinking more about Houston, maybe if he were to get free and not driving much attention. For Ford.....not for a second rounder, but certainly one a little later.

There is that question with both of them about going from 3-4 to 4-3.

Lane re-worked his deal to free up cap space. Deets to follow.

Edit: Cap numbers were $15.3 (2019), $13.4 (2020), and $11 (2020). I'm assuming they're "smoothing" that number out some. Would be about $13.2 per if the salaries were all even, or they may be able to move money to the end of the deal.

I’m predicting just a smoothing for a few M this year. There has to be a “slush fund” in coming years prepared for the first few years or Wentzs extension that would not make sense to push too much of Lanes money into those years.

I bet they inverted it rather than smoothed it out.
Even better

Not me. I think he has slowed down a bit, that's why they want to trade him. I relish the 3 top picks, and want to use them on picks, or a trade to move up for a real stud. This is a real good draft, and I want as many picks as I can get. I even want Howie to make a move to get a 3rd rounder back (Golden Tate). that move was not one of Howie's better deals. Dallas got the best of them getting Amari Cooper (ughhhh), and we got Tate!! At the time we thought Howie outmaneuvered Dallas, but this time, they did.
