Given the fact the Chiefs went through an entire season without a touchdown from their wide receivers, the idea they want to mix it up there seems reasonable. But given their recent investments, it’s still going to be a tough pill to swallow. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Chiefs are expected…

Things I'd look into with regards to FA WR's:

Cecil Shorts, oft injured in Jacksonville, but produced solid numbers despite some really god awful QB's/O-lines; could be this year's version of Emmanuel Sanders in FA.

Jason Avant, vet minimum guy, but he knows the system which means a lot in the Andy Reid system. Would be a good vet to have to mentor Wilson, DAT, and any rookies we add in the draft.

I am not too sure I want to dabble beyond that in FA now that we are hooked onto the Houston tag. We have ~70M in cap space for 2016- need to come out of this FA period with minimal damage prior to the draft where we are projected to have 11 picks. Need to reload the next wave of cheap talent to surround the high dollar players.

Signing both Houston and Hudson to long term deals, if possible, needs to be done. At minimum, they need to be retained through this offseason up to 2016 where there is some space to work with. Anything less is a failure in my book, imo. It won't kill our pursuit of the playoffs, but it would sure as heck buoy them if Dorsey plays his cards just right here.

I kind of hope he goes to the Eagles so he is shipped off to the NFC. I hope it's not the Raiders, though I honestly wouldn't feel very threatened by the Raiders, regardless.

he can drop passes for them any time...

Bowe would have been nice as a #2 if he wasn't making Megatron money to not even break 1k. 11M 2015 money + inflation is waaaaaaaaay better than Bowe's contract. Not thrilled to see him go, but not sad either. Very happy to have Grubbs.

My guess is if it was camp right now:

Fisher and Grubbs would be locks at LT and LG, respectively.

Fulton/Allen/Kush would have a camp battle at C.

LDT/Allen/Fulton/Henry/Fainaka have a camp battle at RG

Allen/Stephenson/LDT have a camp battle at RT

I'd like to see us address C and RT in the draft, if possible. I think I am content with RG being a camp battle. Need an X receiver too with Bowe gone.
