Damn, talk about a short leash. I actually thought he was/is a very good manager. Imagine if the Phillies FO had the same sort of leash on Manuel when he was here.
By the way, trivia time. First team in MLB history with 4 players to have at least 30 home runs each- and name the players. The fact that I wrote this after commenting on Baker's firing should serve as some sort of a hint. Don't look it up losers.
Cold guess. LA Dodgers.
Ding ding ding. Can you name the other 3 players-Dusty obviously being one.

Why did they fire Dusty? You guys got a bunch of idiots up there running Cincinnati baseball or what?

I swear I didn't cheat, but I looked it up afterward and it was right. That question has been around for a while but I always missed it because I would forget about Baker. Anyway, if you want to waste 20 minutes, check this out
Can you name the top 5 MLB home run hitters from 1970-2009? Quiz - Sporcle Games & Trivia
I got 148 but I'm old compared to you so the 70s guys might be harder

Can you name the Top 200 Phillies in Games Played During the Veterans Stadium (1971-2003) Era? Quiz by hoyalawya - Sporcle Games & Trivia
I got 106 out of 200 but it is tough even with 20 minutes. I didn't look at the answers so I can try it again. I got most of the ones in the first column but somehow there are a lot that are escaping me. Like these:
662 1B ('88-'94) hit HR in first ML at-bat
406 -2B/SS ('92-'95) 1-time AS ('94), played for '90 and '96 WS winners
424 -IF ('95-'00) started more than 20 games at 6 positions for Phillies
Its hard to believe the Phillies had a guy play 662 games at first base and I have no idea who it is. It's not Brogna. Anyone have any idea?
