There are 5 series left in the season 3 at home 2 on the road.

That would end the series on an 11-6 streak. I don't think that is unrealistic but i could see 10-7 or 9-8 too. Lets just say that they do finish 11-6 and an overall record of 95-67 (the number hurdle said at the beginning of the season) is that enough to beat out the Cardinals and take the central?

I think its enough to beat the reds for sure, the cards have lots of home games left too though

I think 13-4 takes it. Looking at the Cardinals' remaining schedule, I anticipate them going 12-5, and we have to be one game better than them for the rest of the season in order to take the division.

I agree. About the only thing that might help the Pirates over the Cards is the fact that the Red/Pirates series are going to played with a lot of meaning and the Cards become complacent.

11 and 6 has now been transformed to 7-2 after going 4-4 at home against teams that were on paper easier targets. Luckily St. Louis also went 4-4 during that stretch.
