Beckett needs to channel his inner Greg Maddux and stay 2-3 steps ahead of the opposition.

Good call by Mattingly to lead off Turner.

Leaving a lot of runs on the base paths for a day game.

Holy shit Ethier.

6ks in a row.

4 more in a row to tie Tom Seavers consecutive record.

Ethier hasn't played in how many days and they took him out of the game. That's when you know you aren't playing well.

Wow, I just turned it off after watching Edwin Jackson get a lead off double followed by the one spot hitter hitting a home run. Watching the Dodgers constantly leave runners on gets tiresome and there are more productive things to do today.

But benching Ethier mid game? That will raise some eyebrows in the post game interviews.

Rizzo robs Crawford and the Dodgers. Still down by 1 in a game where the Dodgers have had plenty of opportunities.

Safe to say that League is the worst signing for the Dodgers since Uribe?

He's been decent for a portion of the year, I mean, he's better than Perez.

I see what you're saying but for 8 mil a year I feel like we've gotten almost nothing from League, and he's signed until 2016 so we're not done being disappointed.

I've honestly wanted him gone since day 1, maybe I'm just being hard on him. It took me a long time to warm up to Uribe after he wasted most of the years on his first contract with the Dodgers.

I'm not a League guy, but he's established more consistency than Perez, Maholm or Wright this year.

Now, if play the money per season card you enter into an niter conversation where only a few Dodgers are performing. This team often wins in spite of themselves. Hanley is the worst defensive shortstop in the game. Bullpen is awful and the starters drop off after Ryu. Not a team that is built for playoff baseball.

I've just never liked League very much, but he is having a good year this year and the bullpen did perform well in that 12 inning game, everybody just looked flat out there on Sunday.

Except Kemp! Guy keeps on ticking along. Many think he can regain his form....

I would take a home and home split with Anaslime.

He still wasn't very good on defense but if he keeps showing the patience that's been evident in his last 6 games then I can definitely see him having a good year offensively. Only 6 stolen bases though and has been caught 5 times, so it seems that the 2011 Kemp is gone for the most part.
