Julian Fernandez pitching reminded me of a question I had about the Giants. Why did they not return him to the Rockies when he had TJ, instead opting to put him on the 60 day IL to let him accrue service time and collect a big league paycheck? Did the FO feel that his injury was a result of pitching in spring training with the club?

I can only think of Delaplane this year. Who was last year? And the Giants went out to get Delaplane as the Mariners jettisoned him once he had surgery. There is no rule.

Completely forgot about both of them. I don't know how many other orgs have drafted pitchers in the Rule 5 that had TJ while with that org. Maybe FZ needs to stay away from pitchers in that draft.
