Totally unacceptable opening day. The pitching mismatch was incredible in our favor and this is the result? Pathetic.

But it is only one game. Is Goldy going to strike out just about every time he's at the plate every game? No. Is this what we can expect from Grienke going forward? Unless there's an injury we don't know about...No.

They need to figure out a way to keep Chris Owings out of the lineup. He can't hit.

Apparently, Greinke had the flu & the decision to go ahead with his start was made on Sunday.

Usually I'm not an excuse believer, but this one seem reasonable enough and would explain his horrible results.

By the way, Bracho was sent to Reno today for Kyle Drabek. I assume this is for BP arms considering what happened in our first game.

It would, but then I'm angry with Chip Hale. It's Game 1 of 162...if the guy has the flu, push back his start. Nobody should be pitching in the throes of a legit flu unless it's the playoffs or some crucial late season game.

As a longtime Jays fan, I shudder at the idea of Kyle Drabek helping the BP. Maybe he's a late bloomer.
