There are no real surprises. Once AJ was hurt, that left the door open for Weeks & Drury. But it is a little surprising that there isn't a real 4th OF on the roster. That tells me Owings is going to get a lot of playing time in the OF, along with Drury or Herrmann in the corners. I guess they are going to go platoon in CF with Brito/Owings with the bench guy being the def replacement for Tomas/LF.

That last BP spot was a tossup for me. Both Bracho & Burgos pitched well enough to be on the team. Burgos has looked pretty nasty with his new splitfinger.

Is this your assumption or the REAL true roster? I have the D-Backs in an affiliate league and thought Peralta was a lock for an OF spot.

Peralta should be a lock in the OF. I'd expect him to be an everyday fixture there.

Owings in the OF? What is the point of that? The guy can't hit so at the very least he should be providing value with some infield defense if he has to play. Hoping to see Peralta and Tomas as regulars and Owings riding pine more often than not.

This is the official 25-man roster. Peralta is the starting RF.

So in your opinion, will Drury or Tomas get more AB's? I can use either one at 3B. I am leaving Peralta in line-up. This isn't a daily league, so I have to have line-up set by noon.

Tomas will be the everyday starter in LF to start the season. He will get more ABs. But if he isn't hitting after a month or so into the season, I wouldn't be surprised if Drury & Herrmann drastically cut into his ABs. Drury is likely to get 1-2 starts a week between 2B/3B/LF.

I would think Tomas would have to. Even all things being sort of equal, the guy they are paying a ton more money to is going to get those ABs and that's Tomas.
