Game Thread: Denver Broncos at San Francisco 49ers

It is funny how negative some people are here about the coaching staff. Are the best in the NFL? No. Are they the worst? No.

We will see what happens, but I would not be shocked to see most of the coaching staff return next year. I am not sold on Musgrave as the OC. Sometimes he has incredibly innovative plays ( the triple screen we used against the Steelers comes to mind) and other times he just can't find a set of plays to get a drive started. To me that is a coach that doesn't understand his players.

I find 3 positives coming out of this game:
1. Tim Patrick - he showed up big time and was Keenum's go to guy on a lot of critical plays.
2. DeaSean Hamilton - made some plays too.
3. Royce Freeman is running better which would be a sign of health.

If you think that they are better than fox and that staff .. yikes

This was a CU Oregon St type loss. Whether John keeps VJ in 19 or not we'll see. These types of losses are on EVERYONE but, starts with coaching.
They need halftime to adjust can't adjust on the sideline yikes. Injuries hurt bigtime but, still should have beaten SF. Just one of those years.

I never said that Vance was great or better then Fox. I thought Fox was a very good coach and we should have stuck with him actually. I love what Kubes did with winning the Super Bowl, but that was a huge risk.

We will see what Elway does on December 30th-31st. Right now I think it is 50/50 at best that Vance comes back. The only thing that could mean that Vance comes back is if we find a way into the playoffs and win the Wildcard matchup.

One thing I believe will happen is the players will go out and play hard for Vance and this coaching staff. Just because they play hard doesn't mean they will get the results that they want.

Not sure if this was posted in here or not but it was on the local news tonight since George Kittle is from Iowa.

Kittle was 4 yard away from breaking Shannon Sharpe's single game yardage by a TE in a game.

That was all in one half too.

I took George Kittle to Denver in my mock two years ago. Wish Denver had done it in real life. That guy is becoming the next Zach Ertz of the NFL.

Also sounds like some of the 49er's were disappointed that he didn't get a chance to break Sharpie's record. Even Kyle Shanahan admitted that he was aware of the possibility of a record break and apologized to Kittle for not putting him in position to pull it off.

Now that I've gotten that fluff out of the way......................screw Kittle and the 9er's. They ruined my weekend.

Better to have an average QB like Keenum than get a bust like Cousins we had to mega overpay for(I’m gonna guess people are going to see Cousins 24 touchdowns to Keenum’s 15 and think he’s some great signing and yet completely ignore Cousins 16 turnovers to Keenum’s 11). Don’t see how you can say Elway whiffed when Keenum’s looking the best of all the FA QB’s available at the start of the year.

No he did not there was no better option Elway was cuffed .

We are not going to win SB's every year life gives you windows .

Elway fielded the best team he could. I am proud of Elway. He is not perfect.

We rebuilt a lot of this team . We are still close .

QB's don't grow on Trees Lucas. Ask a Clevland fan?

The sad part is I would rather have Tim Tebow than what we have had since Manning

Thing is We have not had a pick were IMO anyone in here would of hit it with a QB worth his salt other than a Few wanted the Cowboys QB and IMO he is no better than Lynch if given a OC that would cater to his god given traits.

This was Kyles Super Bowl ! He was planing this game in January.

This is why they pounced on us the first half there was no stone unturned in this game for Kyle .

We passed him up that hurt.
